What are the chances that three vehicles in a row all have nails in their tires, when all the owners happen to be standing at/near the service counter? Dad took mom’s Land Cruiser in for service and they found a screw in one of the tires, along with two other customer vehicles. I’m wondering if some bored tech is drilling screws into tires for some extra money. $60 per patch.

I’m pretty sure I just put my baby boomer father into full-tilt conspiracy mode. Guess I’ll check the local news tonight for “ raving lunatic at Toyota dealership” headlines.

$60 per patch? Damn that’s pricey. It’s like 5-10 by me.

I spend about $30 each for them to break the tire off and patch from the inside. He said the GM told the tech what price it will be right in front of everyone.

$60 per patch? Discount Tire usually does it for free.
